so as you all know last night was the grand opening of Man-o-lo and Steve-o's BOJANGLES at the Airliner. it was an event that was hyped by all, but would it live up to the hype? after having a super stressful week at work trying to transition into my promotion smoothly... i was in dire need of a good time. so after much anticipation the night finally came.
of course it rained... all the ladies looked prim and proper RUNNING to the entrance of the club. for the first time in my life a bouncer question my ID... upon entrance i didnt know what to think. it was small, but filled with so many familiar faces. i was happy to see michelle (mama ice) and jason (jnaut), whom i hadnt seen in ages. it was relatively awkward at first. as it always is when the club just opens and there arent too many people there. we went to explore and ended up on the second floor just in time for BCK's set. there was a good amount of people there to watch them play. the set all in all was good, i just wished the crowd was a little more responsive.
slowly but surely as the night progressed, more and more people showed up. fyjy and hairface warmed up the 1's & 2's and definitely got us all loosened up. by midnight the 2nd floor was packed and my beloved friend DANN started his set, which was a hit. everyone dancing and acting a damn fool... l&o tossing tee's... me getting free drinks (thanks baby jase and bartender lady lol) by 1am i was feeling good and stress free.... i think i only stopped dancing to pee, get a drink, or go out side. i was wildin-out last night.
all my friends were there and everyone was having a good time, everyone. Jase was an AMAZING hype man. never skipping a beat and always getting the crowd involved... but then again thats always how jase rolls!
so aside from being fondled and rubbed up on by strange large black men...
and the rain...
i can honestly say i totally enjoyed myself.
