a music ménage à trois..quatre..cinq..six...sept...

for a long time ive been stuck in this musical quicksand of the same bands, the same music, same styles, same albums... over and over. its been this way for a good 2 or 3 years now. i use to be really big on finding new bands, singers and rappers. as of late--- not so much. i had grown complacent with the library my iPod contained, rarely updating, rarely straying away from the same artists. theres nothing more depressing than being in a musical stand still... at least for me.

so i decided to do something about it. i had tons and tons of albums on cd that had not been transferred onto my iTunes... so i did that. glassjaw, taking back sunday, tupac, pharcyde, bear vs shark, blink-182.... although its not "new" music... it was so refreshing to hear familiar sounds of good artists... songs i hadnt heard in a long time, just kind of brought me back.

not only did i do that but i also got some new-er music... a while back i dl'd adele's "19"... that is an AMAZING album, super slick... she deff deserved her grammy last night. after watching the movie "the wackness" i had to get the soundtrack!... come on, some of the best hip hop joints from 1994-ish... if youre a hip hop lover, deff check out the movie and the soundtrack. i got katy perry's "one of the boys"... her voice is better than anticipated, but content was lacking-- thank God i didnt spend money on that album... city and colour which was a nice mellow change of pace.... and confide which im still kind of on the fence about... i also found a group called the wedding which is now fronted by former LetterKills (FAV!) front man, Matthew Shelton.... totally digging that band.

these are my top 5 fave albums this month....
